Goals
Patient will maintain skin integrity as evidenced by healing of the bite site and absence of infection. Patient will verbalize understanding of wound care and signs of infection.
Interventions
Clean the bite site with soap and water and apply a cool compress to reduce swelling. Administer prescribed pain medications and antibiotics to manage symptoms and prevent infection. Educate patient on proper wound care and signs of infection. Encourage patient to attend follow-up appointments to monitor healing.
