Interventions
Monitor oxygen saturation levels and provide supplemental oxygen as needed. Prepare patient for possible chest tube insertion to re-expand the lung. Educate patient on the signs and symptoms of pneumothorax recurrence and the importance of seeking immediate medical attention. Encourage regular follow-up appointments with the healthcare provider.
