Risk for infection related to urinary tract infection.
Goals
Patient will demonstrate resolution of UTI symptoms as evidenced by absence of dysuria and clear urine. Patient will verbalize understanding of UTI prevention strategies.
Interventions
Monitor urinary symptoms and urine characteristics regularly. Administer prescribed antibiotics to treat the infection. Encourage adequate fluid intake to promote urine flow and flush bacteria. Educate patient on proper perineal hygiene and voiding after sexual intercourse.
Rationale
These interventions aim to treat the infection, alleviate symptoms, and prevent recurrence of UTI.
Evaluation
